Troy Biography
Lin Hui-En Troy, born in Taipei in 2008, began learning the violin at the age of five and the piano at the age of six.
At six, he was taught the violin by David Liao (Nien-Fu Liao), founder of the Taipei Century Symphony Orchestra and also Hui-En’s uncle, for five years, laying the foundation for his future violin skills.
Hui-En performed with the Century Symphony Orchestra for seven years, and in 2018, he performed at the Taipei Zhongshan Hall as the orchestra’s principal violinist.
He has also participated in numerous performances with the orchestra at the National Concert Hall. In 2021, he stood out in a competition and performed Vivaldi’s ‘Summer’ at the Music Hall of National Taiwan Normal University. During his time at Guangren Elementary School and the junior high school’s music program, he participated in various performances both domestically and internationally (Japan, Europe, Australia, etc.).
In January 2023, he was invited as an outstanding alumna to participate in the 60th anniversary concert of Guangren Elementary School.
He studied under teachers Yalan, Chientai Hsu, and is currently under the guidance of Professor Igor Petrushevski.
